Dogs of Edgecomb! Our Town Clerk wants your people to know she has Christmas presents for you! Your new 2006 stickers are in! Tell your owners to truck on down to the Town Hall to get them. Warn them, as of February 1, there will be a $15.00 late fee.
But don't try to do it Monday, Dec. 26 or Monday, Jan.2. Lee and Claudia will be relaxing from holiday glee, never giving the Town Hall a thought! Ho! Ho! Ho!
Artistic Edgecomb high school students, listen and attend! The Lincoln County Community Theater and Orchestra (LCCT) and the Round Top Center for the Arts are co-sponsoring a competition for teens to submit designs for those five large arched windows of the Lincoln Theater which face out on Damariscotta's Main Street. Students from Boothbay Regional, Coastal Christian, Lincoln Academy, Medomak Valley and Wiscasset High Schools, or who live in Lincoln County, are eligible. Your design must feature at least one of the five artistic genres consistent with the LCCT's mission: Film, Dance, Music, Theater, Visual Art. Deadline is February 1, 2006. Winning entries will be announced by April 1. Each winner will receive $200, with an additional $200 going to their school. For complete information including competition rules and the dimensions of the windows, consult your schools' art teachers or call Morton Achter of LCCT at 677-2554.

The weatherman is not my friend currently. He's saying snowstorms are coming Christmas Eve. That's all very romantic, with the moon shining down on the newfallen snow, but we are hoping to travel down to Connecticut for celebrating with the grandchildren! Visions of snowbanks with tires spinning revolve in my head. Intense coin-flipping going on at 234 River Road, 633-2978, bonesukl@midcoast.com. This column appears in several local papers, and at www.Edgecomb.org.
