Last notice for the Property Tax Circuit Breaker deadline for filing, Wednesday,
December 31. This program returns money to people who pay more than 4% of their income
on real estate taxes. There is an income limit for couples and singles, but for full
details call the Tax Collector at 882-7018, or visit her during Town Office hours,
Mondays 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 to 5 p.m.
Keith and Linda Wood’s daughter Stephanie, in the 619th Transportation Unit, US Army,
out of Auburn, has received her orders to Iraq, leaving in February for an 18-month
hitch. Son Jason Wood, Stephanie’s brother, had expected to be posted there at the
same time, but his orders have been delayed. However, his wife Virginia, in another
transportation unit stationed in Massachusetts, will be leaving at the same time as
Stephanie, also for 18 months in Iraq. The Woods expect Stephanie home briefly over
Christmas. We wish them all well.
