TOWN OF EDGECOMB MINUTES OF THE SELECTMEN'S MEETING
January 16 & 17, 2006

Attended: Rodd Hopper, Frank Perkins, Jr.

MINUTES of January 9r 15, 2005 were approved as amended: Section III to read "January 17," not "February 17.".

  1. CORRESPONDENCE:
    1. State Treasurer recommendation to charge a delinquent tax rate of 11%. Moved, seconded, and voted unanimously to accept the recommendation.
    2. Maine State Housing Authority homeless survey: referred to Jo as G.A. administrator.
    3. Augusta Federal Savings Bank, notice of voluntary dismissal: referred to Tax Collector.
    4. Boothbay Region Land Trust check in amount $36.00 in recognition of Edgecomb's role in supporting preservation and conservation: referred to Town Treasurer.
  1. OLD BUSINESS:
    1. CMP abatement for $14.34 for personal property not owned by CMP.
    2. Lallis Property: A letter from the IRS states their continuing interest in the Lallis property. The letter will be sent to the Boothbay Region Land Trust.
    3. Article 24 (formerly 27) Committee has permission from Scot Tindal to return to his property on Route 27 for a second look.
  2. NEW BUSINESS:
    1. Boothbay Region Humane Society contract for services: referred to Town Treasurer.
    2. Meeting with Gibbons et al. On January 17 at 5:30 p.m.: notice posted on Town Hall door.
    3. Town Report 2005: postponed until next week
    4. Budget Committee meetings: Rodd will call Rick Elder to set up a time line for meetings with departments.
  3. OTHER BUSINESS: None
  4. WARRANT:

    #15 = $41,744.37.

EXECUTIVE SESSION: Attorney Consultation and Legal Rights as per 1 M.R.S.A., Section 405(6)(E): Discussion of completion of the water and sewer project; plans for a meeting of all principals for signing off on the letter of credit, inter-local agreements and such other materials as may be appropriate.
  8. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m. .
