The meeting was called to order by outgoing chairman Bob Crink at 6:30 p.m. Board members present were Bruce Cameron, Erin Cooperrider, Lisa McSwain, Amanda Russell, and Stuart Smith and alternate Brian Bolduc.

1. Review minutes of May 20, 2004

   Erin Cooperrider moved, Amanda Russell seconded, to accept the minutes with a change of wording of the second sentence under the Public Hearing from “Final approval of” to “Final decision on.” The motion carried

2. Bob Crink reported that Super Shoes’ new sign was in violation of the sign code and the owners had been ordered to remove it. He said the Shoreland Ordinance had been sent to the Department of Environmental Protection. If no response is received 45 days after June 3rd, the ordinance is assumed to be approved.

3. Election of Officers:

   Lisa McSwain nominated Erin Cooperrider as Chairman. The nomination was seconded by Amanda Russell and passed unanimously. Bob Crink was thanked for his work on the board for the last three years. Erin Cooperrider nominated Lisa McSwain as vice-chairman. The nomination was seconded by Amanda Russell and voted unanimously.

4. Organization and agenda for future work

   The following items were recommended for future meetings: revision of application form, check list for applicants, new procedure requiring seven copies of applicants’ materials two weeks in advance, putting everything online, compiling the ordinances into one document, preparing a blasting ordinance and updating the Comprehensive Plan.

   Amanda Russell will check with MMA, DOT and the State to see if they require copies of the revised ordinances.
